At SoloGuard, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. Our mobile application is designed to help you stay safe by providing a daily check-in system that alerts your emergency contacts if you don't check in — while ensuring that your data remains secure and private at all times.

Data Collection and Usage

SoloGuard collects only the minimal information necessary to provide and improve our service:

  • Check-In Records: When you perform a daily check-in, we store the timestamp to track your activity and determine when alerts should be sent.
  • Emergency Contacts: Names and email addresses of the contacts you choose to add, used solely to send alert notifications if you miss a check-in.
  • Profile Settings: Your check-in time, grace period, pause status, and notification preferences to customize the app to your needs.
  • Email Address (optional): Only if you choose to sign in with Apple and decide to share your email address with us.

We do not collect location data, device identifiers, or any additional personal data beyond what is strictly necessary for the app's core functionality.

Secure Data Storage

All your data — including check-in records, emergency contacts, and optional email — is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Data is protected both in transit and at rest. We rely on secure cloud infrastructure to ensure your information is always safe and accessible only to you.

Data Sharing

SoloGuard does not share your personal information or usage data with third parties, advertisers, or other users. Your check-in history and emergency contacts remain private and are accessible only from your account. The only exception is when an alert is triggered: your emergency contacts will receive an email notification containing the time of your last check-in. No other personal data is shared with them.

Third-Party Services

We may use trusted third-party services to support essential app functionality, such as:

  • Authentication: Secure login using Apple.
  • Cloud Storage: Secure hosting and backup of your data.
  • Email Delivery: Sending alert notifications to your emergency contacts.

All third-party services are carefully selected and configured to meet strict privacy and data protection standards.

Your Rights and Control

You have full control over your data in SoloGuard:

  • Access: View your check-in history and emergency contacts at any time.
  • Delete: Permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from the app.
  • Pause: Temporarily pause all check-in monitoring and alerts at any time.

If you delete your account, all associated data (including check-in records, emergency contacts, and notification history) will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the SoloGuard service. Inactive accounts may be automatically deleted after 12 months of inactivity.

Children's Privacy

SoloGuard is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We will notify you of any significant updates by posting the revised policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of SoloGuard after such changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
